Mark's Bio

Mark lives in Tonyrefail, South Wales with his wife Carina and baby daughter Ellia.  He started playing drums at the age of eight after being inspired watching Stewart Copeland of the Police on TV.  After leaving Bryncelynnog Comprehensive School, he studied drum kit at the Nexus Academy of Music in Coventry gaining valuable drumming knowledge and experience.  Mark has also completed the Trinity College Grade exams.  

Mark has been teaching drum kit for the last nine years and runs his own private tuition where he has gained an immense amount of teaching experience.  He also works for his local Music Service teaching drum kit as well as Samba and African percussion. 

Mark has been part of the Ignite worship band for the last six years and plays with the Tim Bannister Band.  He also runs the music ministry arm of ignite called inspire that exists to inspire and equip the next generation of musicians, worship leaders and songwriters.
