What has been the best gig you have played?

That's a tough one but I would have to go for the Cathedral gig I played in Coventry.  The setting looked really good as it was in the Cathedral ruins, and the bonus was I could play as loud as I wanted because it was an open air gig :)

Who are your favourite drummers? 

Again this is a tough one but I will name a few that have had a big impact on my playing. The first would have to be Roger Taylor (Queen).  He made me want to play the drums after I first heard We Will Rock You so I asked for a drum kit for my birthday and never looked back.  Queen have been my favourite band since.  Aaron Spears (Session drummer) also has to be in there for all his crazy chops that I love to 'try' and use.  Another big influence on my playing is Justin Foley (Killswitch Engage), he was the first drummer I heard using double bass so he started my love for metal music. And I can’t fail to mention Jon Bonham (Led Zeppelin), he is a LEGEND.

What's has been your most embarrassing moment while drumming?

That was when I was recording a while ago and we were nearly at the end of probably the best take we had done as a band (It was a live recording) I poked myself in the eye with the stick while playing and everybody saw it The entire take was messed up because everyone was laughing.  My eye swelled up and turned bright red.  It lasted for the rest of the recording.

What song do you most love to play along to?

Erm...  This is the toughest question yet, but I would say Innuendo by Queen as I think it’s the greatest song ever written.  But at the moment my favourite to play along to is probably Lucky by Britney Spears.  Ha-ha, seriously though it’s a nice song to practice your big fill-ins!!

What would be your perfect gig?

Wow.  Forgive me if my imagination runs wild.  First of all I would have Queen headlining, sorry I go on about them a fair bit but they are my favourite band.  I would have to be playing drums with them as well, that would be awesome!  Then I would have Led Zeppelin as the main support with Carrie Underwood Still Remains and Celine Dion to finish off the support.  I know some of the bands don't play anymore but if it was possible that would be my ideal gig!
